There are a lot of factors that go into determining your wedding day timeline. Keep these in mind and use the sample timelines below as a guide!

  • How early can you begin getting ready?

    • If you are getting ready onsite at Rock Island Lake Club, the earliest you may arrive is 9am.

    • What time are your hair and makeup artists willing to start?

    • If you are getting ready offsite, you may be able to start getting ready earlier than if you are getting ready at your wedding venue.

  • How many people will be getting their hair and makeup done?

    • The more people, the longer it will take! If you have a big wedding party and are considered about being short on time, consider hiring another hair stylist and makeup artist.

  • What time does your photographer want you and your wedding party ready by?

    • They’ll go over a timeline with you to ensure that you’ll have enough time for a first look before the ceremony.

  • What time does the sunset on your wedding day?

    • If you are having your ceremony outside, you’ll want to make sure that there will be enough daylight for the ceremony and potentially photos afterwards.

    • Check what time the sun sets here.
